The photos are in chronological order, with the oldest photos first.
This is a the Lower Pond Lot. We would like to put the tomatoes here, along with two other vegetables for a total of three acres planted. The pond itself is located at the top of this photo. The gate that volunteers would enter through is to the lower right. There is a considerable amount of brush that will need to be removed from this field.
***Update - 3.21.09, I just spent the afternoon on a tractor clearing the brush, so it's clear now. Also, I measured this lot and it is a little over a acre, 205 feet wide x 250-275 feet long. Therefore, we will only put the tomatoes here.
This is another picture of the Lower Pond Lot. This picture is taken from the very top of the lot, with the pond situated right behind you.
This is the Blue Lot. It is located next to the Vesper Cemetary and will also be right behind the food pantry. We plan to put in an acre here, perhaps peas or beans.
*** 3.21.09 - I also measured this lot with my sister Val. It turns out that it is 100 feet wide and about 400 feet long, just about an acre.
This is the main farm site. We will plant 6 acres here. You can see the natural boarders of this plot on the left and right. This piece will go down to the patch of evergreens.
This is another picture of the main garden site. We do not have a name that has really stuck yet, so we just call it the 'Main Lot". The portion to the left we call the Upper Main and the hillside leading to the garden we call the Lower Main.
This is the farm end of the parking lot. The end of Mechanic St. is in front of the barn.
To the right is where you will be parking. The walking path from the parking lot into the garden is in front of you, in the shape of a horseshoe. This picture is being taken from the entrance to the lower pond lot, which is behind you.
This picture is taken from the very top of the 'Upper Main Lot'. It looks over the whole farm and town of Vesper. You can just see the main garden site in this picture; it is at what appears to be the bottom of the hill. In reality, the main garden site is a plateau situated in the middle of the Main Lot
Here are three pics I took Easter Sunday:
This is a picture of the parking lot to the right and the bottom of the main garden plowed up. The walking path to the upper garden is in the foreground.
Here is the lower pond, partly plowed. This is the field that the volunteers did much of the work this past saturday,
This is a true panoramic picture of the main garden site. It is taken from the upper of the two main plots which was not plowed at the moment taken. This picture covers about 275 degrees around.
Make sure you zoom to full size when you open the image!
Photo Update ~ May 24th, 2009
Onion plants after a little rain. We ended up with seven rows, each two hundred feet long. There are about 9000 onions planted.

Just before the rain.
This was taken about two weeks ago, just after I planted the first quarter acre of leaf lettuce. They have since come up, but are a little camera shy right now.
A pic of the 10,000 cabbage plants and 7,500 tomato plants almost ready for the field.
Cabbage close up.
More tomatoes. Apparently we are growing several varieties, including some cherry tomatoes! Very cool. The reason I say apparently is: I went to the owner of Green Thumb markets and asked for 7500 tomato plants (nothing more), and told them to use their best judgement. And it looks like they did well.
The following photos are from all parts of the summer and late spring.
